Shannon Lovell, LCSW

Mrs. Shannon Lovell, L.C.S.W. earned her masters degree in social work from Barry University in Miami, Florida.  She completed her clinical internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.  Mrs. Lovell is a licensed clinical social worker who has an advanced generalist practice treating children, adolescents and adults.  Additionally, Mrs. Lovell works with adults who have mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, sexual trauma, and adjustment disorders.  She does not treat active substance abuse users, but will see patients with this in their past history.  Her practice is cognitive behavioral therapy focused on helping patients become more proficient in coping and adapting to their environments by enhancing their social and emotional lives.  Mrs. Lovell has been at Ochsner Health System since 2008.
