Alvin Rouchell, MD

Chairman Emeritus, Department of Psychiatry

 

Dr. Rouchell earned his medical degree from Tulane and completed his internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He completed his psychiatry residency at Tulane where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Rouchell is board certified in psychiatry and is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at both LSU and Tulane. He has been on staff at Ochsner since 1981 and specializes in the medical aspects of psychiatry.
