Licensed Clinical Social Worker

 

Helen Stavros, Ph.D., L.C.S.W. earned her masters in social work from Tulane University.  She is a member of the Louisiana Board of Certified Social Workers, Academy of Certified Social Workers, and the National Association of Social Workers.  Dr. Stavros treats children, adolescents, and their familie with any presenting problems.  She also works with adults with major depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, sexual trauma and adjustment disorders including relationship problems and parenting issues.  She does not treat active substance abuse disorders, but will see patients with this in their past history.  She has been at Ochsner Health System since 1987.  She is trained in EMDR, Hypnosis and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and offers treatment in those modalities as well.

Major depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, and adjustment disorders including relationship problems and those with parenting issues
